Nov. 10 - Dec. 5 Talking with Angels - SF

Shelley Mitchell in collaboration with California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) present Talking with Angels, a one woman theatrical adaptation of Gritta Mallasz's best-selling book

Wednesday -- Saturday, 8 pm;
Sunday, 3 pm
Post-show discussions on Fridays & Sundays led by CIIS faculty

TALKING WITH ANGELS:Budapest 1943, is a true story about spiritual renewal in the face of destruction. The play is based on Gitta Mallasz's Holocaust diary that chronicles the lives of four young Hungarians who, for 17 months prior to their deportation in 1944, experienced a series of remarkable philosophical discussions with forces that appeared to them at the time as angels. These weekly discourses radically changed their understanding of psychology, consciousness, art, science and love. It is a cross between SCHINDLER'S LIST and MY DINNER WITH ANDRÉ.

"California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) is the perfect partner," says Mitchell. "CIIS exists to break down barriers that prevent people from understanding how all people, all cultures, all forms of learning are interconnected. The CIIS community of faculty, students, and supporters are very sensitive to the type of discourse that is presented in the play. Their involvement ensures that the voices spoken in Talking with Angels will continue to be heard long after the curtain falls each night."

Nov. 17 & 18 The Technology of the Gods with Dawn Abel - South Bay

The Technology of the Gods – Reclaiming Our Lost Legacy in Service to Humanity featuring the Wakah Chan "Skull and Bowl" Planetary Healing ceremony. The ceremony is a focused meditation, channeling, and toning performance using the ancient sacred tools. While communing and attuning with the primordial forces of the universe, we clear blocked energy grids to heal ourselves and Mother Earth. We use crystal skulls and Tibetan singing bowls to negate the evil energies of the "skull and bones" matrix manipulators. We invoke the Gods and ancestors to project a protective reflective shield around ourselves and the planet, redirecting the negative energies to the senders. We liberate the planet!

Sun. Dec. 19 6-Mid. Butterfly DOP Christmas DOP Benefit for Musicians for Peace - SF

Don't let election blues get you down. Come out and party for the planet and a US Department of Peace and join our DoPeace Campaign. We are having a benefit for Musicians and Fine Artists for World Peace with the blessing of Dennis Kucinich who endorsed our Department of Peace Campaign in 2001

On Saturday, November 6, I attended a breakfast with Dennis Kucinich in San Francisco. Jolie De Pauw, one of our members from Lotus Dog, provided the entertainment at breakfast and will be performing tonight with many other Kucinich Butterfly People. Later at the Green Festival Dennis gave a heartfelt talk about the election results and how we have to move forward to get his plan for a Department of Peace implemented. He told us that the only path to peace is through the heart and to me the butterfly represents that heart connection.

So come out tonight and enjoy the show and attend the press conference before we begin. The revolution will be televised!

Featuring a host of musicians from Musicians for Peace with Sherry Glaser, Fontain's M.U.S.E., Laramie Crocker, Cyoakha Grace of Land of the Blind and a cast of ...well, to many to count now.

The program will begin with a Maha Kirtan with Saraswati, Jean & Richard. They recently performed at our PeaceFest in Golden Gate Park. www.homepage.mac.com/alreadyfree1

Mary Eberspacher will perform a crystal bowl toning and chanting calling the "I Am Presence" of each person present. www.ancientsounds.com Akasa Tseng will perform a Heaven on Earth prayer ceremony.

There will also be sets by Mokai, William Florian, JolieDe Pauw from Lotus Dog, Lauren Renee Hotchkiss, Alan Tower, Chris Skyhawk, Marisa Handler, Maria Halyna, Maria Mango, Roberta Donnay and many others.

Steve Bhaerman, also know as Swami Beyondananda and Sherry Glaser will do special comedy routines. Sheery wiil do her new act called "Activist Mom."

Cindy Sheehan of “Military Families Speak Out” (www.mfso.org) will share her spiritual journey since loosing her son Casey Sheehan in Sadr City, Bagdad, Iraq on April 4,2004. She will also recite a poem, A Nation Rocked to Sleep, written by her daughter Carly in honor of her brother Casey. Cindy has spoken at a memorial in Washington DC and traveled to many swing states. After our National Elections this is an appropriate time to reflect on the soul of our nation & how we best move forward together. We will again touch that place of common human-ness that will strengthen us all in healing and action to bring the troops home now and end the occupation. Please see her site dedicated to her son Casey at www.angelfire.com/sk3/spkhntrca/Casey.html

Cindy will also take part in our press conference that will kick off our Department of Peace -DOP- Campaign in the Bay Area in honor of Congressman Dennis Kucinich. It coincides with our plans to announce that Musicians and Fine Artists for World Peace has surpassed one thousand members worldwide and the need to end the war in Iraq and have clean elections in our country again with editable black boxes with paper trails.

Laramie Crocker will perform his song Cargo in honor of Casey Sheehan. This will be a very moving experience for those in attendance.

Karil Daniels, the producer of Voices of Dissent, will show an 8 minute trailer of her documentary about authentic patriotism and protecting First Amendment rights against the Bush administration's attempt to discredit dissent and limit free speech. Voices of Dissent contains scenes from our butterfly Naked4Peace - Make Love Not War protest.

This show is being produced in cooperation with StudioZ, Deborah Paulino (gigslist.org & gigdirectory.net) and Department of Peace Campaign.

Sonsoring organizations include Musicians & Fine Artists for World Peace, Global Exchange (www.globalexchange.org), Middle East Children's Alliance/MECA (www.mecaforpeace.org), the San Francisco New Living Expo (www.newlivingexpo.com and the Global Peace Foundation (www.globalpeacefoundation.org).
