Save the Endangered Species Act, Slide Show and Discussion — Two months ago the House of Representatives passed a bill that would gut the Endangered Species Act. Join us for a slide show and presentation on the endangered species of California, the Endangered Species Act, and current threats to the Act from Congress. Since the Senate will now decide the fate of the Endangered Species Act, it is critical that Senators hear from their constituents asking them to support the Act and oppose any bill that would weaken protections for endangered species and habitat. Come get involved and learn about efforts to pass a resolution through the Berkeley City Council supporting strong protections for the Act. We owe it to future generations to be good stewards of the environment and leave behind a legacy of protecting endangered species and the special places they call home. We have a responsibility to prevent the extinction of fish, plants and wildlife because once they are gone, we cannot bring them back. Come find out how you can help!
