Pre-Market Gathering:
We are having a RRFM potluck/meeting this Sunday the 18th! Meet at 8pm in
the Bayview district(see directions below), and bring food, drink, your
awesome rrfm ideas, and some wood so we can roast marshmellows and veggie
dogs over a fire!
Directions: The address is 951 hudson St, San Francisco. It's an art metal
workshop called theBoxshop. Some map sites show the wrong thing for
thisaddress, but Google maps is one that I know iscorrect. From 3rd st and
Cesar Chavez, go south on 3rd about3/4 mile. Turn left on Evans, and
continue a mile or 2. You will pass an old power plant on the left that is
being taken down, and after the road curves you will pass India Basin
shoreline park on the left. Right after the park is a dirt road, which is
HudsonAve. 951 Hudson is the first gate on the right. It's a yard with a
bunch of white shipping containers-just go in the yard and you're there!
Call 642-5427 if you have trouble finding it.

Buy Nothing Day + Really Really Free Market = Lucky You
Saturday, Nov. 24
1pm-5pmish
Dolores Park (near 19th and Dolores St., SF)
www.reallyreallyfree.org
The Really, Really Free Market is like a giant potluck, made up of ideas,
food, music, books, skills, clothes, tools, games and many other resources
that we as a community can come together and share. Everything is free.
Yes, really really free. No money. No barter. No advertising. Just free.
Come celebrate International Buy Nothing Day by participating in the
Really Really Free Market! Don't give your time, money and life energy to
greedy corporations that exploit the Earth and people. Come to the Really
Really Free Market instead! SHARE, ENJOY EACH OTHER'S COMPANY, BE
CREATIVE, NOURISH YOURSELF, PLAY, MAKE FRIENDS… Put an end to passive,
mindless, destructive consumerism and CREATE THE WORLD YOU REALLY WANT.
You make the market happen.
As a community we have many more resources than we do as individuals. If
we share our resources we won't need to buy as many new ones. This uses
fewer of the Earth's resources, and fewer of our working hours, leaving us
more time to devote to ourselves and our communities. Would we all work
forty hours a week at one job if we didn't feel we had to? What if instead
we worked at improving our individual skills and talents and shared them
with each other? We would all spend more time doing things we enjoyed. The
Really Really Free Market is an attempt to put these ideas into practice
for four hours every month and then spread the seeds of share-tactics
everywhere!
Because there's enough for everyone.
Because sharing is more fulfilling than owning.
Because corporations would rather see landfills overflow than anyone get
anything for free.
Because scarcity is a myth constructed to keep us at the mercy of the
economy.
Because a sunny day outside is better than anything money can buy.
Because "free trade" is a contradiction of terms.
Because no one should have to do without food, shelter,
entertainment, and community.
Because life should be a picnic, but it only will be if we make it happen.
