Invitation to Gala for the 40th Anniversary of the SETI Institute
I am writing today to invite you to join me in celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of the non-profit SETI Institute. Our mission is to understand the origins and prevalence of life and intelligence in the universe, and to share that knowledge with the world. Our scientists have pioneered many aspects of the search for life elsewhere, including a more and more sophisticated search for "techno-signatures" -- signs of technology from other civilizations.
I hope you can be part of an unforgettable evening in recognition of our groundbreaking accomplishments over the past four decades. And together, let’s raise a toast to the endless possibilities that lie ahead. The evening will include:
