The Memorial and Blogfest is being produced by the Raise Hell for Molly Ivins Campaign (www.raisehellformollyivins.org), which was inspired by Molly's last column before her passing addressing the war on Iraq: "We are the people who run this country. We are the deciders. Raise hell…Hit the streets…We need people in the streets banging pots and pans and demanding END IT, NOW!" The Campaign is organizing citizens across the United States to demand that Congress act to end the War in Iraq. Participating organizations include Lafayette Crosses, Veterans Village and Swords to Plowshares. The Campaign's fiscal sponsor is the Agape Foundation and is officially endorsed by Veterans for Peace, United for Peace and Justice Coalition, the Iraq Moratorium and Global Exchange.
