SUBMIT HERE: (Places to show your art)
open call with urgent deadline: all poetry & writing on HERSTORY welcome
In honor of women's history month and all things deriving from the
sacred feminine, i've elected to use this theme to launch a new
press, initially called elizaPress.
submissions for this launch edition could include works by or about
any woman. including, but not limited to stories of mothers,
sisters, cousins, daughters, grandmothers, famous women in the world
today, or stories about women throughout history. poems, stories,
sayings, reflections--all written word forms are welcome.
submissions should be included in the body of an e-mail and sent to
bethbenson@mac.com by midnight on 2/26/07.
publication is expected on or around 3/15. the book will be
published by elizaPress, through lulu.com, and available for sale on
lulu.com/writressworder. elizaBeth Benson-Udom is the editor and
makes all final decisions about what's included in the anthology.
don't send what you don't want to see published--there is not a
"confirmation" step prior to assembling the book. all writers who
send a $25 entry fee (or make arrangements with elizaBeth for an
alternate exchange) receive a copy of the anthology & promotion
material to forward to local press, friends & family. fees can be
sent by good check to:
elizabeth benson-udom
505 bourne lane
danville, ca 94506
because of the short deadline, checks can be postmarked by the
deadline, and received later, and still qualify for inclusion--or
special arrangements may be made--but must be made prior to the
midnight deadline of 2/26/07).
once book sales reach $1000, the amount over $1000 will be split
equally among the contributing writers and mailed to them in payment
for their contribution to the anthology.
please distribute this announcement to all your writing friends!
thanks,
elizaBeth Benson-Udom
