We always watch the ocean for pelicans, diving for fish as this will often indicate sea mammals often dolphins and whales
8 Grey Whales common and frequent visits in Pod of eight which splits into part of five that hang out in Baker Bay towards Marin and part of three, which sometimes swims under the Golden Gate Bridge, then down closer to Baker Beach
After sunset, all eight gray whales swim west Southwest around land south to Ocean Beach
Lands End and Sutro baths are excellent vistas to watch grey whales and occasional blue whale. The blue whales are very rare.
Sutro baths and tunnels exploration can easily be a day afternoon or evening
In themselves as top tunnel allows a rock climbing experience north from tunnel to crazy rocks up to forest, connecting to land end
Low tide allows walking on beach from Sutro baths underneath famous cliff house, fourth generation architecture on this site to Ocean Beach bonfires in front of Golden Gate Park
Rounding the bend atop Cliffhouse allows breathtaking view of Ocean Beach south, with 20 or more bonfires spotting the beach at night
