Naked was legal in SF before 2012 on all city streets though not in parks 360 days a year.

Social nudity in San Francisco is still allowed:
At any parade, fair or festival held under a city- or government-issued permit,
At private beaches (and some public ones, as we'll see below), and

There is no law against being naked on federal land. Hence naked was always allowed north Baker Beach to GG bridge.
And at burningman on BLM land NV
California has no law against driving naked.
Cities and counties may individually have codes.
California once required shoes for driving but people got open toed sandals stuck on the pedals causing accidents so; no more law!

Fortunately, nudism is still 100% legal @ BM )’( and pops up in individuals, groups and pockets of crowds and events etc. at burning man even if the population is no longer 10% up to to 25% naked as it could be on some days in some areas 1990s
Thank goodness humans are still allowed the opportunity for full expression of simplicity and natural being
