Event

Ok 20 years attending burning man in a row is the best thing that ever happened to my life
I learned to stay prepared. was able to pack quickly
Minivan floor covered with. cardboard, insulite thermarest pads, 3 inch memory foam fitted sheet, 10 sheets, comforter, banana boxes, some mostly chicken fryer boxes 18 inch x 28 inch shallow trays excellent for towels, costumes clothing, socks, shoes, gear, tool supplies, food arrive at camp throw all the clothing and towel and non-food boxes up on the roof parachute over that park shade to my east orient by stars wake up
And crack the doors open if I’m too warm, 10am I would sleep from 4 AM to 10/12 most days dancing all night the big dipper to align my shade. That was 45° of the north star
In the desert 10 PM is a diagonal line from the big dipper at 7:30 on the clock orientation 1 AM the line from the big dipper the Northstar straight up and down 4 AM. It’s 45° to 430 on the clock. That way you know the sky is going to get light and get back to camp put your head in the pillow before the sky gets light. I’m able to sleep from 4 AM until 10 o’clock or noon parachute is excellent for shade and breeze
Because if it’s Monday or Tuesday and a storm is coming, I can just pack up and go
Break camp. MOOP Monday.
Go to tuna guys party on Monday night, catching up with people all day long and then leave before the crack of dawn Tuesday morning before the sun came up and have zero weight at Exodus
There are a lot more tips I’d always give people you can look at http://planttrees.org and scroll back to a lot of the years from in the 2000s up to 2014 when I was attending
other packing tips were to get free water and such
Endless tips bring a lot of empty 5 gallon and one bottle bottles gallon bottles
I used to fill them up at summit or Cabela’s or a Chevron station. Once I cleared the summit save your engine, save your transmission. ok
