1. Call Senator Feinstein TODAY, Wednesday, January 4th
As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Feinstein's vote on Judge Alito's nomination is key. It is important for her to hear from her constituents in California to urge her to vote NO on Alito. With Senator Feinstein, every call counts. That's why, as a member of Californians for Fair and Independant Judges, Planned Parenthood has adopted TODAY to urge members of our community to make calls to the Senator. Members of other concerned advocacy groups will be calling until the judiciary committee votes on Alito's nomination at the end of January.

"I am calling to urge the Senator to oppose the nomination of Judge Alito to the United States Supreme Court. Based on his alarming record regarding the right to privacy and other civil liberties, I urge the Senator to vote NO on Alito in committee and encourage her colleagues to do the same."

2. SAVE THE DATE: 1/9 Lunchtime Rally and Press Conference
Join Californians for Fair and Independant Judges (CFIJ) for a lunchtime rally and press conference in front of Senator Feinstein's San Francisco office. Spokespeople from CFIJ, a broad-based coalition representing millions of Californians, will share why they oppose the nomination of Judge Alito on the first day of the Senate Judiciary Committee's confirmation hearings on Alito's nomination. Rally participants will urge Senator Feinstein to vote NO on Alito.
