Film: Baraka — This movie is a celebration of the interconnectedness of nature and humanity and includes footage from places like Mt. Everest, Angkor Wat, Tienanmen Square, the Brazilian rain forest, the Pyramids of Gaza, the burning oil fields of Kuwait, and the Galapagos Islands. It is a cinematographic quest to explore the meaning of the Sufi word "Baraka." The 96 minute film shows nightly at 7:15pm and 9:30pm, as well as Saturdays at 2pm and 4:15pm and Wednesdays at 2pm. Film: "Who Killed the Electric Car?" — This 2006 film explores the birth, limited commercialization, and then the death of the battery electric vehicle in the U.S., specifically the General Motors EV1 of the 1990s. The film points out that Bush's chief influences, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, and Andrew Card, are all former board members and executives of oil and auto companies. Films: "Wind over Water" and "Out of Balance" — The 15-minute Wind over Water chronicles the debate over the Cape Wind Project, a wind farm proposed for off the southern coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Some residents of the Cape banded together to prevent the project, saying it would turn Nantucket Sound into an industrial energy complex. The struggle has developed into an intriguing illustration of people's attitudes toward land, energy, politics, and NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard). Out of Balance (60 min) documents the impact that the largest company in the world, ExxonMobil, has on governments, the media, citizens, and climate.
