Liberators as Murderers By ROBERT FISK
http://counterpunch.org

9-11-01
9-11-01 and continuing murders were deliberately instigated and enabled with verification of federal assassinations and other atrocities against Islam. When the Soviet Union was collapsing, reduction of America's military industrial complex was prevented by publicizing attempted murder of Sheikh Fadallah with deliberate murder of dozens of his neighbors (Bob Woodward, Veil: 1985) and other atrocities against Muslims executed by federal assassins such as Col. Charles Askins (Unrepentant Sinner: 1985) continuing since the Roosevelt administration. The revelations maintain and further empower military-industrial cabal warned of by President Eisenhower. Resulting jihad cannot be ended while federal assassinations are encouraged or allowed by other governments. Weapons of more massive retaliation against non-Muslims are being prepared in Iran and are already available in Pakistan and elsewhere.

Memorandum of Law SUBJECT: Executive Order 12333 and Assassination DJA-IA (27-1A) 2 November 1989 of W. Hays Parks, Chief of International Law Branch Internal Affairs Division of the Office of the Judge Advocate General of the Army, is published by the Departments of State and Army of the United States of America to convince assassins that killings ordered by the President of United States unilaterally and without public declaration of war by Congress are preemptive military operations with concurrence of the United Nations. It would seem people taking orders from G. W. Bush are not expected to be very bright.

Suppression of terrorism will require same justice for federal assassins as for other terrorists.

Due to recent misfeasance of Judge Mark Filip, U.S. District Court Northern Illinois, an attorney could bring these problems into federal appeals court.

# living foods dinner & art action evening!!! tonight!!!
   Mon, June 5, 2006 - 12:29 PM
Do you have a hankering for yummy raw foods and subversive prankster action??? Tonight is the eve of 6/6/6, and all secret squirrel ninja revolutionaries are reporting to 421 Bryant Street to help cut out pictures of various icons of our evil empire. These will be affixed to the myriad "The Omen" posters that adorn our city, tonight as the clock strikes midnight.

Because of the premature ejacuation of the Raindance party, my sister and I are sitting on the contents of our living foods cafe. At this point, we are merely trying to recoup our losses, so for a meager $10, you will be lavished with our raw organic menu:

Nori & greens wrap stuffed with Asian pesto, julienne vegetables, chipotle & mango chutney...
Rawviolis with mushroom walnut/sunflower pate with truffle oil & garlic dulse...
Kale, leek, and seaweed salad with kumquat, black sesame seed & capers...
Mocha truffles & Lemon poppyseed cookies...

We'll be opening the cafe at 7pm and working on our art action until 11:30pm or so. Show up anytime. If you're not into both items, you can show up for the food or the action... 421 Bryant Street @ 2nd Street. Our doorbell is broken so knock loudly.

# 6/5: Timothy Leary - author event (haight ashbury)

ROBERT GREENFIELD
reading & book signing for "Timothy Leary"
Monday, June 5th at 7 pm
at The Booksmith (1644 Haight Street in San Francisco)

To a generation in revolt against authority, "Tune in, turn on, drop out" became a mantra - and its popularizer, Dr. Timothy Leary, a guru. Timothy Leary, by Robert Greenfield (the award-winning biographer of Jerry Garcia and Bill Graham), is the first major biography of one of the most controversial figures in postwar America. "Greenfield’s cornerstone portrait of the acidhead who would be king brilliantly illuminates the paradoxes of the psychedelic age." - Booklist

Robert Greenfield is the author of a biography of Jerry Garcia and a book about rock impresario Bill Graham, which won a Ralph J. Gleason Award and the ASCAP Deems Taylor Award for Excellence. He lives in Northern California.

Author events are free and are sponsored by The Booksmith (1644 Haight Street in San Francisco). For further information, call 415-863-8688 or visit http://www.booksmith.com If you can't attend this event and would like to order a signed copy of the author's new book, please email or phone our store.

Using hidden cameras and never-before-seen footage, this documentary

animal cruelty that occurs every day and it shows what our human

to human beings every day.

# Wednesday, June 7, 7:30 pm -- Estate Planning Workshop

Got a plan?
You may have seen the ads. They depict tragic scenarios -- mouths clogged
with peanut butter, cookies with nowhere to be dipped - truly, we are warned of
the horrors awaiting those with an inadequate dairy beverage supply.

Out here in the real world, though, there are more pressing issues. There are
questions that might need answers: Who will take care of your kids if you
can't? How can you protect the people you love? If you can't speak for yourself,
who will - and will they care what you think about it?

CSC is proud to present Estate Planning for Everyone, a seminar designed to
answer these and other questions about guardianship, wills, trusts, Advance
Health Care Directives and more. CSC board member Kathleen Hunt, Esq. is the
founder of Unique Law, a law practice serving unique individuals and their
families throughout the greater Bay Area. $15 individual/$25 household. At CSC, 398

# The Endangered Endangered Species Act
Thursday, June 8 7:30-9 pm Free

For over 30 years the Endangered Species Act has been our nation's
safety net for fish, wildlife, and plants on the brink of extinction.
But in 2005 the U.S. House of Representatives voted to gut the
protective provisions of the statute, and several bills to eviscerate
the Endangered Species Act are being proposed in the U.S. Senate. If
these bills become law the natural world is likely to become greatly
impoverished, and as one of the top biodiversity hotspots in the
country the San Francisco Bay Area has much to loose in the process.
Join Brent Plater, Bay Area Director for the Center for Biological
Diversity, as he describes the strength and importance of the
Endangered Species Act and how current legislation will weaken the
law, defines where real improvements in the Endangered Species Act
can be made, and explains what you can do to ensure that protections
for endangered species remain strong.

Brent Plater works on a variety of endangered species and wildlands
protection issues throughout the country. He has been the lead
attorney on several cases brought by the Center, including cases to
protect the southern resident killer whale, the North American green
sturgeon, the unarmored threespine stickleback, the California red-
legged frog and dozens of wild and scenic rivers in the Great Lakes
region. Brent is a graduate of the University of Michigan's School of
Natural Resources and Environment, the University of California,
Berkeley's Boalt Hall School of Law, and Harvard University's Kennedy
School of Government.

# Please see Organic India, Tulsi and Prashanti at Booth #2 in the Harmony Festival
Dear Tribe,

Come see me at Booth #2 this coming weekend at the Harmony Festival in Santa
Rosa. I will have many of our products there including boxes of Tulsi tea
for a mere $2, that is 60% off the retail price. I will only have about 300
boxes at this price but the rest will be at $4 or 3 for $10. I will also
have a lot of our herbal supplements at $10 for 108 caps, about half price.

Booth #2 is in the the middle of the fair, across from the main alter and
not far from the main gate.

Hope to see you soon. To refresh your memory, below I include an email I
sent out earlier to you talking about what we have been doing in the world.

Prashanti

For more info on the festival see http://www.harmonyfestival.com

Dear Tribe
I would Love to have your help. In 1990 I started an herb company in India
that has since grown to be the largest supplier of sustainable certified
organic & biodynamic Ayurvedic herbs and supports over 100,000 people.
Recently we won the award for the “Most Socially Responsible Company” in the
entire Natural Products Industry. It is all about Market Driven
Sustainability so without you, the consumer, the health professional, the
herbalist, the store clerk, etc, it is impossible to sustain sustainability.
You are the Market so your dollars determine what survives in this world.
We are doing really good work. Please support us by supporting the health
and well-being of yourself, your friends, family and clients with really
wonderful, powerful, potent and pure herbs. I can take orders by phone or
by email. Cash, checks, Visa, MC all work! Below is a longer description
and under that is a list of some of the herbs and prices. Thanks so much for
your help. Thanks so very much!

Here is a partial list of many of the herbs that we grow and wildcraft. It
is all sustainable and all Certified Organic by either SGS (Swiss) or SKAL
(Dutch). Many of the herbs are also Certified Biodynamic (Demeter-German).
Where Organics is about purity, Biodynamics and the ancient Vedic techniques
we use are all about power and potency. We also have ISO 9002 and GMP
certifications which are certifications in manufacturing and processing
precise accountability and we are much more fair trade than the ‘Fair Trade’
certifiers require. Our Vision is to not only supply the highest quality
herbs but to also to create financial, cultural and environmental
sustainability in the world and specifically in rural India. As one of the
largest Organic Herb companies in the world we have converted over 2000
farms to Certified Organic, snatching them away from the fangs of Monsanto,
and have trained over 25,000 tribal people to sustainably wildcraft in the
mountains of Northern India and the Jungles of Central India. All told we
support about 100,000 people in India, a number which grows at least 20% per
year. It is such a huge honor to serve so many people and gives me
incredible deep joy to see the smiles on their grateful faces as the health
and strength of themselves, their children, their animals and their land
increases by the month.

Included in my blog is a picture of myself with rural village women in India
plucking the Tulsi leaves used to make our Tulsi Tea. These women come from
extremely low income families or are living on their own. The typical work
that they get is usually very strenuous, stressful, demeaning and difficult.
Working for us in a shady mango orchard plucking an anti-stress healing herb
like Tulsi, an herb that they consider sacred, and earning 2 to 3 times more
than any other job available, is a dream job for them. In just this one
aspect of our business, the Tulsi harvest in the fields of Azamgarh, we
employ 1000 women everyday for four months straight. More than just a
healthy job it also gives them the community of each other. Paying such high
wages and all the extra expenses we incur in taking care of the soil and the
environment are just two reasons why we need your continued support.

Another example of supporting challenged farmers is that we actively seek
out and support women who farm alone due to the death, delinquency or
disappearance of their husbands. Just as dilapidated old houses are
completely restored and renovated in gentrified neighborhoods, so these
women's farms, soil, techniques, profits, health, well-being, and the
well-being of their children are radically improved when we have the
pleasure of working with them.

Since there are few adequate schools in most of rural India, we have also
started and funded a separate organization called the ‘Organic India
Foundation,’ dedicated to building schools and providing a high quality
education to the children of our farms, eventually a better education than
what is available in most metropolitan cities. In November of 2005, at a
festival celebrating our Autumn harvest, Amar Singh, an eminent member of
the Indian National Parliament was so deeply moved by what we have
accomplished that he spontaneously gave out of his own pocket 50 lakh
Rupess, equivalent to $125,000, to the foundation. ‘Seeing is believing’ as
they say and he was obviously impressed with what he experienced.

Though I started this 15 years ago, only recently the work we have been
doing for many years was recognized on a large scale in America when we were
voted the Most Socially Responsible Business of 2005 in the entire Natural
Products Industry which is composed of about 20,000 companies. To me this
is like winning the Nobel Prize for Planetary Sustainability.

Coming out of such a beautiful socially responsible and sustainable context,
I can offer you a line of well tested and effective bottled encapsulated
formulas and single herbs for dozens of indications, from Men's and Women's
energy tonics to Liver/Kidney care, Diabetes support, Lung health,
Intestinal cleansing and many more. We also have a line of Teas based on the
aforementioned herb Tulsi, meaning “The Incomparable One’ in Sanskrit, which
is an anti-stress adaptogen, immune system stimulant, as well as being
wonderful for the mind and spirit.

To assure you of our credibility, we are well established in the
International market and sell by the ton to dozens of the largest
herb/tea/supplement companies in the USA and in Europe. If you are connected
to a larger business I can sell bulk herbs and foods by the ton, or we can
'private label' for you and give you bottles of encapsulated herbs and/or
boxes of Tea. But just because we sell by the ton does not mean I don’t
appreciate every single bottle sold directly to the end user, I really do.
It is one form of social activism as the more healing herbs are used the
more balance there will be on the individual, then on the familial, then on
the community and finally on the entire Society.

As you can see, working with us supports an inner and outer world of
sustainability, supports indigenous cultures, ancient herbal wisdom, self
actualization of health and well-being, and supports the Earth.

If there is something not included here we can grow it, create it, or
possibly source it for you.

I have 15 years experience as an herbalist and Ayurvedic/Vedic health
practitioner and am happy to use my expertise to help you determine which
herbs are best for your constitution and health needs.

If you are a professional and/or represent a community house, a store,
clinic or spa, and you need a discount in order to resell the herbs, you can
get 40% off the bottled encapsulated herb supplements and the pound packages
and 30% off the price of teas if you order $100 or more, mix and match.
Below are all the prices. I am not too strict on that minimum and if you
are not a professional but actually go through a lot of herbs, like I do, we
can work something out.

~Please keep this posting around for future use
~Please forward it to anybody you know: family, friends, professionals,
lists, etc
~Feel free to see me for a consultation at a big discount of my normal rates
~Feel free to call me for any clarification needed or for a free
mini-consultation
~Please stay in touch for Classes I will be teaching
~Let me know if you want to get my Ayurvedic eNewsletter
~In a few months I will do a clinical trial on Turmeric and I need 1000 of
you!

Note that everything here is certified Organic, except the sandalwood, but
that is wild cultivated responsibly in Australia and is a gorgeous
alternative to the non-sustainable Sandalwood from India.

"We could say that love is the name we give that depth of attention
that allows the essence of someone else to speak back to us
in their own voice in their own way. We let them become visible but in the same moment, because of the selfless nature of attentiveness, also reveal ourselves."

 San Francisco Oil Awareness
Presents "( Is It ) The End of the World As We Know It?"
Bay Area Artists' Views of Peak Oil and Climate Change at

Art SF at 110 Capp Street, 5th Floor
 Saturday, June 17 from 7 to 10 P.M.

Scientists, environmentalists, financiers, world leaders, politicians and the U.N. have all spoken up and warned us to prepare for the advent of Peak Oil and Climate Change.

We've all seen the images of Katrina, the Indian Ocean, Europe's arctic winter, extreme floods and droughts on every continent and the flexings of powerful muscles over oil.

Now it is time for artists to step up to the plate. For centuries, the Art World has served not only as History's illustrator, but as society's conscience and a call to arms for its citizenry.

We are looking for serious/poignant/hopeful/tragic/personal/global views of the changes our planet and society shall be undergoing as the twin crises of peak oil and climate change overtake us.

While we are not necessarily looking for epic works of art (allowed, nevertheless), we do believe that these are two of the most serious issues facing humanity in the 21st Century. We are seeking the thoughtful works of Bay Area Artists that express this understanding.

The material in this show will be new to many and for some, a shock. It's tantamount to telling a child there is no Santa. We are not, however, looking for the merely sensational, but for informative, educational, emotional, and yes, humorous art. ( Not TOO black, please. We're talking about people's dreams and futures here.)

As many pieces as we have space for shall be included.

Gallery Bar, track lighting, sound system, wooden floor, tall window wall, large service elevator.

Set-up 7 - 10 P.M. Thursday, June 15 & Friday, June 16th. Ladder, Lights & Water available. Please provide your own fasteners and hammers, screwdrivers.

Publicity Art SF and San Francisco Oil Awareness have extensive mailing lists and shall be providing publicity throughout the Bay Area.

July 2006

# July 2006 is the month to Bring the War Home to cities across the
nation with Direct Action and Civil Disobedience to shut down all metropolitan
areas. Then organizers from around the world will converge on DC August
10th through the 14th to confront the true war machine.

SHUT DOWN DC: August 10th through 14th, 2006. There will be massive
decentralized direct action against all government and corporate
entities.

The vast majority of government and corporate war profiteers are based
in DC, and its time they experience war first hand. Let's bring the war to
their homes, their offices, their parties and everywhere else they go.

As long as there is a war abroad, we must also have a war at home. With
the Iran war looming, the Iraq war lingering, and dozens of other wars
raging, it is long past time to bring the war home.

With thousands expected to descend on our fair city, mass housing, free
vegan food, and a convergence space will all be available. Mark your
calendars, tell your friends, plan to come to DC August 10th through
14th, 2006.

More information and details will be coming, and our website should be
up soon. Keep checking back for more details. In the meantime email

# July 15 - Day of Action against Climate Change and G8 - EF! Call to Action!
A call to action from Earth First! Climate Caucus and Rising Tide North America
July 15th 2006 -- Direct Action for Climate Justice

  International Day of Direct Action
against Climate Change and the G8
 Rise Up Against G8 Policies
Target Fossil Fuel Industries in Your Town or Bioregion

On July 15th, the "Group of 8" (G8) richest industrialized countries will gather in St. Petersburg, Russia to plot their continued commodification and domination of the planet, this time under the banner of "Energy Security." A leaked G8 "Communique on Energy Security" calls for trillions of dollars in new investments in oil, gas and coal production worldwide, plus wide-scale global expansion of nuclear energy. With runaway climate change* looming just over the horizon, such neoliberal business-as-usual poses a direct threat to the continuation of life on Earth as we know it. Resistance is self defense. The G8 agenda promotes petroleum-dependent "Energy Security" that pollutes our land and atmosphere, ravages poor and indigenous communities, and scorches the Earth's climate. Their recipe for disaster must be met with our global resistance!

July 15th will be an International Day of Action Against Climate Change. As G8 energy ministers promise trillions in new subsidies to the industries destroying our planet and our future, we will take action to shut them down! This is a call for autonomous, decentralized actions appropriate for your town, city, or bioregion. Use this international day of action to support local struggles against oil refineries, gas pipelines, strip mines and coal-fired power plants. Disrupt the financial backers of the fossil fuel industry. Host teach-ins to spread sustainable post-petroleum living skills. Find a weak point in the infrastructure of resource exploitation and throw a literal or symbolic wrench in the works. Visit your local polluters and give 'em hell!

The July 15th International Day of Action Against Climate Change is being mobilized by Rising Tide North America, a new network initiated in the US by the Earth First! Climate Caucus, with inspiration and support from the UK's vibrant Rising Tide direct action movement for climate justice and against climate change. Rising Tide North America is actively mobilizing July 15th actions in local bioregions, as well as reaching out to environmental justice, climate action and radical sustainability movements in all of the G8 countries plus the Global South.

Rising Tide North America is building a large collection of outreach and agit-prop materials that can be used by groups around the continent (and the world) to organize locally. These materials will be downloadable from http://www.reclaimthecommons.net and from the website of Rising Tide North America (comin' soon).

Join the Rising Tide North America network, and tell us about July 15th actions against climate change being planned in your community or bioregion! Contact us at efclimatecaucus@wildmail.com.

*19 of the 20 hottest years on record have occurred since 1980. Islands in the South Pacific are already evacuating due to rising sea levels. Storms and hurricanes are growing more severe. Polar bears are drowning as their icy habitat breaks apart and drifts out to sea. Greenland and Antarctica are melting. Everyday we spew more greenhouse gases burned from fossil fuels into the atmosphere; everyday we are one step closer to what scientists refer to as "the tipping point," on the verge of catastrophic and irreversible climate chaos.
