Fête de la Fédération! Belden Place and Claude Lane near Union Square is the place to be for Bastille Day... Also we've got some fantastic author events this week. The Daily Show's Lewis Black comes to Cody's in downtown SF on Saturday, one of my favorite authors (he's the linguistic nerd who wrote "Going Nucular" Geoffrey Nunberg is at Modern Times on Tuesday, and the inspiring story of Amy Racina who fell 60 feet while hiking and wilderness and survived for 4 days with two shattered legs. And if you're into online music, you should check out pandora.com which suggests songs based on bands you already like. it's uncanny how accurate their music suggestions are! pandora is hosting a town forum at the Zeum on Wednesday - johnny
