This one was in the Mission one block East of Dolores Park and one block South around 20th / 21st st and Dolores / Guererro? I was there. THE really bad Cop almost ran over some protesters with his CAR. Then he got out. People were PISSED.
Then the SFPD was like "were gonna wear Riot Gear to every protest" so on IndyBay I posted : BS The COP could have killed some people, he was out of control. No War in IRAQ had plenty marches in the Mission but on this one the cop car almost ran over 3 or 4 protesters.
He was chasing them with his CAR and if they had tripped their ankle on his front bumper as they ran away, they would have gone down and he could have rolled right on top of them. Very bad SFPD officer heading East on Liberty or Hill or Cumberland
the protesters had put a big styrofoam block in front of his car. Maybe to block or stop it. And the cop FLOORED THE THROTTLE and I was so scared the COP was gonna kill some kids.
When that cop car stopped and this cop got out then this event happened where he attacked on foot then they defended themselves. What a crock of SHIT that the cops' story always gets more press. "tried to light the car on fire?" I doubt that. I know what I saw. Cop was off the hook aggressor. We are lucky no protesters were run over that night. Some cops need to chill out.
today we have cameras and you tube and that cop hopefully would be out of a job for charging a crowd of 30 protesters with his car to the point that if any of the legs of the 3 or 4 protesters who probably did feel his bumper on their heels... if they had tripped, they might have died.
