Feb 14 6pm PillowFight at Justin Herman Plaza. Good chance for personal injury as Gang Bangers and thugs now attend with Sand Bag weighted Pillows and other non soft implements. Ask anyone who cleans up about the sand bags left behind.
I lost my Left Ear hearing in the 250 and 500 Mhz range February 14 2012 due to one such assailant.
I wasn't even holding a pillow. I was standing on the sidewalk on market Street, collecting emails.
He snuck up behind me. I had no warning. Next thing I knew I lost orientation momentarily in shock time stopped and thereafter my ear was RINGING WILDLY LOUDLY.
10 months later my ear is still ringing and I have not recovered my hearing. He is likely to batter and hurt others.
5 Park Rangers talked to his gang of 7 that day. The SFPD said "It's the same (people/group) every year!"
I talked to my assailant that day after I saw the 5 Park Rangers talking to his group of 7.
I begged him "Please don't hit people if they do not have a pillow". He just could not be bothered. He did not respond. He appeared not to care. I did not know my hearing loss was permanent at that time.
His 4 foot heavy Pink Pillow at the end of his 3 foot arm meant a 7 foot radius swing as he wildly circled and took me out from behind.
First rule of Pillow Fight is do not hit anyone without a pillow. In other words if they do not have a pillow, do not hit them.
If you are a videographer/ or a lawyer, and want to help affect a citizens arrest or other legal action on my assailant if he shows up this year let me know.
Beware pillow fight. Bring cheap camera. Protect self and friends. Document. Arrest violent thugs who are ruining what WAS a fun event. peace

WEIRDI GRAS 14th annual How Weird Street Faire Sunday April 28, 2013 http://HowWeird.org
spectacle of amazing art, music, and movement as the greatest street faire in the galaxy takes over the streets of downtown San Francisco for a carnival of peace. There will be marching bands, acoustic bands, dance music stages, live art, unique vendors, and more parades than any street faire in the world. And you are invited to participate.
This year, the faire will be filled with Krewes, who will produce the many parades, bands, and stages. A Krewe is a group of 3 or more people united in a common mission with a common name. If you'd like to participate, send a description of your idea to krewes(at)howweird.org and we will send an application and instructions. The deadline for completed applications is January 25th.
Want to have more fun at How Weird this year? Make your own parade!
This year, in honor of Mardi Gras, we are inviting people to form a Krewe and have a parade during the 14th annual How Weird Street Faire. In New Orleans, the month and a half long Mardi Gras celebration is filled with colorful parades of Krewes, each with its own theme and style. For How Weird this year, we hope to have more parades in one day than New Orleans has during their entire Mardi Gras season!
Everyone at How Weird this year is encouraged to march in parades. Organize one yourself, or join one that catches your attention at the faire. The parades will have their starting points mapped and scheduled, so they will be easy to find.
The How Weird parades will be produced by Krewes of 3 or more people who share a common name and theme. The parades will have no music, enabling them to weave in and out of the many music stages.
If you are interested in forming a Krewe, send an email with your idea and we will send you more information - krewes@HowWeird.org

Just in case you haven't noticed, there are some new developments on the ticketing situation for BM2013. In brief, 40,000 tickets will be made available shortly at $380. You have to pre-register for these individual sale tickets from Feb 6 until Feb 10th. NOTE the TIGHT DEADLINES. Tickets will then be allocated from Feb 13th. This means no beloved lottery as such (just "first come, first served") and no tiered ticket prices. BM says they will be making 58,000 tickets available in total
