ALLs I got to say, spending the last two decades of my life out there-something always goes down. My fear is aggressive fast driving at night. There are survey posts and non lit people or dogs. Fucken smash that suicide rabbit *do not swerve. Hurdles that the desert will SURPRISINGLY throw at you so fast, out of no where, there is little to-no reaction time. I’ve pulled friends out of rolled vehicles, doused friends covered on fire. I’ve seen care flights, & I’ve buried comrades who have passed on the playa & jungo. And witnessed someone who passed out in a hot spring and drowned in 2.5’ of water.
Please take your own SAFETY EXTREMELY SERIOUS. It can happen in a moment where fun turns to folly. See a structure- someone probably built it for you NOT to climb on. Light yourself up - hell-put hedgehogs around your lone isolated camp . And LIGHT THAT SHIZZ UP AT NIGHT.
If your gonna shoot shit be aware there could be a trail behind that berm. IVE HEARD BULLETS WIZZ BY ME and the shooter had No idea.

What I am really concearned about is people getting lost, as in being disoriented since no big art to mark your whereabouts and how to find your camp..w no street names, nothing to tell you where it is. I am really worried about the virgins who have no clue about the severity of it all … and yes the disorientation happens at BM w man in place, w center camp in place w street names.. I cant imagine what this will be on top of all the thing that you mention Owen. I pray and I say if you see someone in dire straights help them , you might be saving a life… its not burning man its something else this year.. be aware and please dont bring your pets.. one lil second of chaos of loud noise of anything and they are gone in the dust.. please be wise

I’m an EMT, work Gate and ESD, and have been going to BRC for over 10 years. I don’t drink and rarely consume other substances. Three years ago I ended up super dehydrated, quite tachycardic, and with a very elevated BP. Ended up needing 2 liters of IV fluids. While it wasn’t necessarily life-threatening, without access to IV rehydration, I would’ve had a very difficult time rehydrated. It also could have done much worse for someone else or in a slightly different set of circumstances. I completely agree with your words.

Though people offered him food and water he became a danger to himself and the community. He was not mentally sound and started harassing and threatening people in the camps and stealing supplies. This made it hard to even help him. I and a fellow burner had to be rangers for a night to watch over camps around us whose occupants were gone for the night so this man wouldn’t steal their belongings. We developed a relationship with the local police through this experience. An officer told us that during normal years, many vagrants like him hitchhike into Burning Man but because there’s 80,000 people, it’s easy for them to go unnoticed. I have nothing against vagrants or hitchhikers, but if you’re gonna pick one up, have a plan so they don’t hurt themselves or others.

… BLM does the same. They mostly just cruise around and sometimes stopped. Being a first responder myself, I had a good conversation on how they track camps and individuals. Each camp is marked on their tablet along with approximately how many people, types of vehicles and license plate numbers. They do this in case they get a call for a camp or area that they all know where to respond.
HEP and COV spread through POO. Do you have a PLAN to keep your hands clean? How about the other other humans you touch?
Showers and hygiene are going to sparse compared to a metropolitan city or an organized event.
This will be many people’s 1st encounter with a bucket and many of them will not have a plan or tech to keep their hands clean. its’s just statistics
