Here's a chart provided by the National Park Service on how rodenticide poisoning can be passed along the food chain and how it can ultimately be lethal to all animals, including mountain lions. The chemicals listed under “Check the label” section are the lethal ones. So we encourage you to use other means of controlling rodents – snap traps and general exclusion methods such as blocking gaps and keeping trash firmly covered.
